The Voices of Air Max

Nike DNA is a marvellous archive filled with Nike stories, including those surrounding the Air Max which started production in 1987 and pushed the idea of revolution in footwear, becoming a cultural icon. This Swinburne project in collaboration with Nike DNA pushes for creativity in finding how to best present the Air Max product and Nike brand to a new audience. Here, illustrations are used as an effective way to communicate the narratives of Air Max by visualising both its design inspirations and cultural influences.
